Ingredients
- Bicarb of soda or baking powder
- Eucalyptus Oil
- White Vinegar
- Washing soda crystals or powder
- Pure soap/sunlight soap
- Lemon juice

Basic Non Toxic Cleaning products - Recipes
- Laundry powder
- In a 2L tub, add 1kg bicarb soda, 750g washing soda, 1/2 cake of grated Sunlight soap and 10 drops of your favourite essential oil
- Shake to mix and use sparingly
- This lasts for ages and costs approx $4 for 2kg and lasts for 3 mths - is very cheap
- Dishwashing liquid
This will not show bubbles but will clean just as well - very cheap to make
- In a 1L pump bottle add 3 tbs washing soda then 4-5 tbs vinegar
- Let it fizz, , and then add hot water to fill the bottle
- Shake to dissolve soda
- Use sparingly, about 2 pumps per wash
- Cleaning mix - kitchen benches & hand basins
Both ingredients disinfect, remove odours and leave surfaces shiny
- In a spray bottle put approx 1tbs eucalyptus oil OR 3-4 tbs vinegar and fill with water
- Spray then wipe surfaces
- Scrubbing mix- Bathroom tiles, moulds, laundry and kitchen sinks, stove, oven, soap scum from glass shower doors
This paste replaces AJAX, Jif etc and will leave a sparkling surface
- In a plastic 'take away'food container with lid, 3/4 fill with bicarb soda, 2 tbs lemon juice OR eucalyptus oil and top with water to make a paste
- An essential oil (instead of eucalyptus) can be added for a nice smell if you like
- Wipe a small amount over surfaces using a sponge, then rinse off
- Use an old toothbrush with some of the paste to get mould from hard to get places
- Toilet bowls - A paste of bicarb of soda and lemon juice can be used to clean toilet bowls
